Associate Professor Chakrapong Pimphimon, Acting Vice President, presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop seminar titled "Strategic Advancement of Traditional Thai Medicine, Alternative Medicine, and Holistic Health Agriculture at Maejo University" on Friday, May 24, 2024, in the Cattleya Queen Sirikit Conference Room, 5th Floor, Chalerm Phrakiat Building (Orchid and Ornamental Plant Center), Faculty of Agricultural Production. The event was organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Production in collaboration with the Planning Division of Maejo University. During the event, policy directives on advancing Traditional Thai Medicine and Naturopathy were provided, along with special lectures:

- Special lecture on "The Importance and Development Direction of Traditional Thai Medicine and the National Strategic Plan for Traditional Thai Medicine and Herbal Medicine"
- "Guidelines and Examples of Business Operations and Integration of Related Sciences in Holistic Health in Thailand" by Pharmacist Polkaew Watcharachaisuraphon, Expert Pharmacist and Head of the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Group, Chiang Mai Provincial Public Health Office.

The draft strategic plan was presented by Associate Professor Dr. Phutthisan Khruakham, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Production, and Assistant Professor Dr. Chantana Susawangsup. In the afternoon, the participants were divided into groups to brainstorm strategies for advancing the strategic plans as follows:

Strategy 1: Develop curricula for Traditional Thai Medicine and product innovation.
Strategy 2: Promote research, innovation, technology, and knowledge management in Traditional Thai Medicine, holistic health care, products, services, and tourism.
Strategy 3: Enhance academic services in Traditional Thai Medicine, holistic health care, products, services, and tourism.
Strategy 4: Establish and develop networks for collaboration in Traditional Thai Medicine, holistic health care, products, services, and tourism.
Strategy 5: Develop workforce and entrepreneurs related to Traditional Thai Medicine, holistic health care, products, services, and tourism.
Strategy 6: Generate revenue from products, services, and tourism.
