The objective of this study is to study the factors that influence the number of inbound domestic flights
of Chiang Mai Airport. The factors used in the study consist of consumer price index, the number of Thai
tourists in Chiang Mai, the temperature, rainfall, and the consumer confidence index. This study analyses
the monthly data from January ???????? to December ???????? by the multiple regression analysis. The results
show that the number of Thai tourists in Chiang Mai and the temperature have a statistically significant
effect on the number of inbound flights domestic flights of Chiang Mai Airport with the level of
confidence at ???? percent. It means that the number of tourists in Chiang Mai has a positive effect on the
number of inbound flights; however, the temperature has a negative effect. It indicates that when the
temperature decreases, the number of inbound domestic flights will increase since Chiang Mai is a
popular tourist destination for Thai tourists during the winter (Lower temperature). The results of this
study could be used as data for preparing, planning, and managing airport staffs efficiently in accordance
with the number of inbound flights. This could improve the services and satisfaction of Thai tourists in
Chiang Mai
