The objectives of this study were to: 1) explore the community enterprise context of Samoeng district, Chiang Mai province based on its operation and problem in product development ( strawberry processing) ; 2) find potential in the product development of the community enterprise; and 3) develop a participatory learning process for developing diversity of the product based on consistency with production potential and needs of markets. This study employed participation action research among the researcher, participants and stakeholders. Key informant in this study consisted of 65 members ( 5 groups) of the community enterprise ( strawberry processing) in Samoeng district obtained data checked by using triangulation method ang analyzed by using content analysis. Results of the study reveled that product of the community enterprise in Samoeng district were resemble to that of in general markets. However, the product had no diversity and was not consistent with needs of buyers who put the importance on healthcare. The community enterprise in Samoeng district still of skill and knowledge about product development. Beside the following were problems encountered: lack of market expansion; and ineffective group management, However, it had an idea to processed strawberry product for selling during Songkran festival. There were 5 kinds of new products after finishing the study: strawberry crackling chili paste, strawberry cocky, strawberry crispy baked cereal, and strawberry fancy banana. In this respect, the community enterprise in Samoeng district would collect data as a basis for making a decision to produce product kinds for selling and finding a way to develop the product again.
