The five subprojects of Development of Thai herbal production and utilization: a case study of Kaempferia parviflora Wallich. ex Baker. project include 1) Callus culture and gamma ray treatment used for induction of somaclonal variation in K. parviflora. 2) Effects of animal manure on growth, yields and some bioactive compounds of K. parviflora. 3) Effects of light intensity on growth, yields and some bioactive compounds of K. parviflora. 4) Development of UV rays protection product from K. parviflora extract in microencapsulate form. And 5) Development of Instant Herbal Beverage from K. parviflora. That were development and integration of Thai herbal (K. parviflora) from the knowledge on Gamma ray treatment used for genetic variations and morphological diversity of K. parviflora and the selection for new species. The method of K. parviflora production flow management include fertilization and lighting techniques. And the development and evaluation of K. parviflora formulation such as cosmetic and health supplement products.
