Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, Striped snakehead fish (Channa striata) and Sepat siam (Trichogaster pectoralis) were cultured in recirculating aquaponic system in the 1 X 1.2 X 1.5 m. cement ponds, a total period of 3 months. Eight treatments with 3 replications each were carried out in factorial CRD experimental design. the Nile tilapia fish were raised at density 50 fish/tank with Striped snakehead fish , Sepat siam and any vegetables treatment1, 2, 3 and 4 Striped snakehead fish were raised at different sizes including 5 and 7 inches with Sepat siam 10 individuals/pond. the Nile tilapia fish were raised at density 50 fish/tank with Striped snakehead fish, Sepat siam and any vegetables treatment 5, 6, 7 and 8 Striped snakehead fish were raised at different sizes including 5 and 7 inches with Sepat siam 20 individuals/pond.By the end of experiment, the growth performance of fish in treatments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 were shown. The average daily weight gains of tilapia were 1.15?0.77, 1.12?0.29, 1.14?0.33, 1.07?0.39, 1.21?0.29, 1.16?0.22, 1.08?0.28 and 1.09?0.43 g/day, respectively. The average daily weight gains of Striped snakehead fish were 1.91?0.77, 1.97?0.29, 1.90?0.33, 1.88?0.39, 2.10+0.75, 2.17+0.60, 2.08+0.85 and 2.01+0.76 g/day, respectively. The average daily weight gains of Sepat siam were 0.89?0.77, 0.83?0.29, 0.79?0.33, 0.77?0.39, 0.85?0.75, 0.84?0.19, 0.79?0.38 and 0.78?0.32 g/day, respectively. It was not significantly different (P>0.05) in the temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite ,nitrate and phosphorus among treatments.The results showed that appropriate density of recirculating system Nile tilapia (50 fish/tank) and 7 inch striped snakehead fish for aquaponics culture were 20 fish/tank, Sepat siam were 10 fish/tank. which trended to provide the highest mean total weight with highest survival rate.The findings about suitable fish stocking density for recirculating aquaponic system will be promoted to farmers, entrepreneurs or anyone who are interested in commercially raising fish in recirculating system to meet quality standards.
