Nowadays, the popularity trend of rice with high nutritional value or special features has been continuously increasing. Therefore, the selection of those rice varieties should be studied as the guideline to improve its resistance to major insect pest diseases that will help the farmers in sanitation and no reliance on the chemicals for rice protection. Thus, this project aims to select, study, and test the yield of non-photoperiod sensitive, semi dwarf, aromatic non -glutinous, insect and disease resistance with high nutritional value of Hom Mali Dang rice lines. During the first year (2019), season 1 (rainy season 2018), selecting and planting F5 of all non-photoperiod sensitive, semi dwarf, aromatic non-glutinous, diseases and insect resistance with high nutritional value of Hom Mali Dang in 43 rice lines was performed. All 207 lines with the good agricultural characteristics were selected and F6seeds were self-pollinated. Then, F6seeds were analyzed by Bph3xa5qBL1qBL11 molecular markers and the most homozygous genotype of the Bph3xa5qBL1 qBL11 gene in 87 lines with the flowering date average of 75% 90-106 days was selected. Meanwhile, during season 2 (dry season 2019), selecting and planting F6 of all non-photoperiod sensitive, semi dwarf, aromatic non -glutinous, diseases and insect resistance, and high nutritional value of Hom Mali Dang in 70 rice lines were completed. Then, all 510 lines with good agricultural characteristics were selected. F7 seeds were self-pollinated. F7 seeds were analyzed by Bph3 xa5 qBL1qBL11 molecular markers and selecting the most homozygous genotype of the Bph3xa5qBL1qBL11 gene in 50 lines with the flowering date average of 75% 100-130 days was done. These seeds can be cultivated for observation in the next season.
