This study purposes to examine the relationship between enterprise risk management and firm performance and the influence of audit committee attributes on the relationship between enterprise risk management and firm performance of the listed companies on the stock exchange of Thailand (SET) 2022-2023. In this study, enterprise risk management is measured by strategic risk management and operational risk management, audit committee attributes are measured by audit committee’s size, independence, financial expertise and frequent meetings and firm performance is measured by firm value following the Tobin’s Q and return on assets.
The results show that there is relationships between strategic risk management and firm value while there is relationships between strategic risk management and return on assets. However, there is positive relationship between operational risk management and firm performance, both as firm value and return on assets. Moreover, the results show that audit committee’s size, independence, financial expertise has no effect on the relationship between strategic risk management and firm value and return on assets. Committee’s frequent meeting has no effect on the relationship between strategic risk management and firm value but it has effect on the relationship between strategic risk management and return on assets. Furthermore, audit committee’s size and independence have no effect on the relationship between operational risk management and firm value and return on assets whereas financial expertise and committee’s frequent meeting have effect on the relationship between strategic risk management and performance, both as firm value and return on assets.
