Asset counting is a crucial process for organizations to verify the quantity and status of their
assets. In the past, basic hand counting methods were employed, along with data recording, to maintain historical records of annual counts. This resulted in problems checking each piece of asset or searching for assets in the data file, which took a long time. Moreover, manual data entry could lead to omissions or errors in recording and storage, hindering data retrieval. The development of an asset counting system aims to enhance convenience, expedite the counting process, and improve accuracy. Real-time data reception facilitates effortless access to current counting information. The system leverages QR Code technology to boost efficiency and reliability in asset counting. The SDLC and AGILE information system development models were instrumental in analyzing, designing, and developing the application. The implementation of the asset counting system utilizing QR Code technology has proven effective in augmenting convenience, minimizing counting errors, and fostering more accurate asset counts. This is attributed to the automatic data retrieval from QR codes affixed to assets. Additionally, the system ensures precise asset identification and facilitates proper asset maintenance within the organization.
