The objectives of this research were : Firstly, to study the operating model. Secondly, to study the effectiveness of group’s operation. Thirdly, to study factors that affects group strength. And lastly, to study the development guidelines of the Truth-Saving Group for Production, BanLaemSanti, Village mu 5, Lamae Sub-district, Lamae District, Chumphon Province. This research was a qualitative research and collected data by in-depth interviews of 27 people participated were from the Truth-Saving Group for Production and related government agencies. This research found that the Truth-Saving Group for Production originated from the voluntarily gathering of village members. The group's operating model had a committee selected by its members which Mr. Lob PetchSom was a founder of this group. The Community Development Department of Lamae Sub-district also helped promoting knowledge and inspect the operations of this group. Members also participated in the inspection which facilitated the group’s transparency, honestly and morality among its members and committees. Securities used as guarantees for each member involed a passbook (or Satcha Book) and a title deed. The result of the research, in terms of operational efficiency, showed that the operation was in satisfactory level and resulted in the increasing of members, amount of money, shares, interest rate and benefits. In terms of factors, that affect the strength of the group, it was found that the government agencies played a major role in creating group’s transparency. As for the development guidelines, it was found that the Truth-Saving Group for Production allowed communities to participate in many areas such as their development plan, financial aspect, member recruitment and board election. These participations by members played a crucial role in group strength.
