This study was conducted to investigate: 1) personnel, socio-economic attributes; 2) adaptation; 3) factors affecting on adaptation; and 4) suggestions in adaptation of highland tripe farmers (HTF) in Royal project area. Interview schedule was used for data collection administrated with 244 cases of HTF for 4 places of Royal project area in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The data was analyzed in descriptive statistics and multiple regression by statistics programming.
Results revealed that most of the informants 72.1 % were male, 41 years old on average, compulsory education, married, 4-6 household members, 5368.85 baht per month on average, main agriculture only 5.38 rai land on average, experience in agriculture was 10.93 years, 8.39 years in Royal project member, and 4.74 times per year on average in official connection.
Adaptation of HTF on climate change were in moderate both much rain and dry situations. Factors affecting adaption of HTF (sig<0.05) in much rain situation were sex, age, status, household member, experience, length of Royal project member, information receipts, and official connections. In dry situation were age, education, status, household member, income, experience, and information receipts.
The suggestions of HTF were; 1) recommendations guidelines for adaptation in climate changes by continuous and always; 2) made market or distribute channel for agricultural products in high price and volume; and 3) announcing in climate changes continue for prep raring of farmers in suddenly situations.
