Effect of dietary lysine and methionine levels on growth performance, carcass composition and meat quality in Black-boned chicken was studied. The basal diets with corn - soybean meal was use by calculate the levels of amino acids lysine and methionine in experimental diets at levels 80, 90, 100 and 110% of recommendations for broiler chickens by NRC (1994), respectively. First experiment (0-4 week), the diet was CP 20%, energy 3,000 kcal ME/kg. The second experiment (4-8 weeks) CP content was 17%, energy 3,000 kcal ME/kg, and experiment 3 (8- 12 weeks) diet was contains 15% protein, 3,000 kcal ME/kg energy. Each experiment containing 240 chicks by using Completely Randomized design (CRD) 4 treatments, 4 replications with 15 chicks per each. The results showed that Experiment 1, ranged from 0-4 weeks of age, showed no significant difference in body weight and FCR in each treatment group (P> 0.05). Group 3 (Lysine : Methionine : 1.10% : 0.50%) have meat, breasts, thigh and legs of chickens tend to increase as the levels of amino acids in the diet increased. There were no statistically significant differences (P> 0.05). Experiment 2 was conducted at the age of 4-8 weeks of age. There was no significant difference in feed intake and FCR in each treatment group (P> 0.05). Group 3 (Lysine : Methionine : 1.00% : 0.38%) the body weight have a tendency to increase more than others. The wings and thighs showed a tendency to increase with increasing the level of amino acids in diets. However, there were no statistically significant differences (P> 0.05). In experiment 3 (8-12 weeks of age), there was no statistically significant difference (P> 0.05). Group 4 (Lysine : Methionine : 1.10% : 0.42%) was more likely to increase body weight and good feed conversion efficiency than that of the other, also Group 3 (Lysine : Methionine is 1.00% : 0.38%) and Group 4 (Lysine: Methionine is 1.10% : 0.45%), likely to be higher than others ( P> 0.05). However, in this study, can be concluded that levels of amino acids, lysine and methionine in diets suitable for growth performance and carcass composition for Black-boned chicken aged 0-4, 4-8, and 8-12 weeks were 100%, 100% and 110% as recommended by the NRC (1994) or the amino acid Lysine : Methionine is 1.10 : 0.50%, 1.00 : 0.38% and 1.10 : 0.45%, respectively.
