This research objectives are to (1) study the socio-economic, natural resources and environmental sectors, and (2) to study the consumptive direct use value of ethnobotanical vegetables of Maefak sub-district, San Sai district, Chiang Mai province. In term of socio-economic sector, there are many traditions/festivals in their community such as plowing ceremony, ordination ceremony for woods and community’s forest conservation. For natural resources and environmental sector, people collect products from forest for example herbs for consume and sale as well as there is a problem of smog pollution. The result of consumptive direct use value of ethnobotanical vegetables at Maefak sub-district in 2016 presents that the total value equals to 15 Million Baht baht including 2.971 Million Baht of roots/tubers vegetable consumption, 3.333 Million Baht of leaves/shoots/stalks/stems vegetable consumption, 2.421 thousand Baht of flowers vegetable consumption, and 8.556 Million Baht of fruits consumption. Therefore, to promote the consumptive of ethnobotanical vegetables in community can reduce the household spending.
