This quantitative and quantitative study aimed to : The explore the operational process of The Financial Institution of The Community , Chiangmai province ; 2) explore conditions of information technology using of The Financial Institution of Community ; and 3) develop a guideline for the application of information technology in order to develop The Financial Institution of The Community , Chiangmai province. It comprised 3 steps : 1)exploration of the operational process of The Financial Institution of The Community by using data analyses and suggestions of specialists ; 2)exploration of information technology using conditions of The Financial Institution of The community by using a set of questionnaires ; and 3)develop a guideline for the application of information technology in order to develop The Financial Institution of The Community by using focus group discussion. Results of the study revealed the following :
1. Based on the investigation of general data, the operational process of The Financial Institution of The Community consisted of 4 parts : 1)savings – deposit , 2)loans and provision of loans , 3)management of remuneration and welfare , and 4)managerial administration of the institution.
2. Regarding conditions of information technology using , the in charge bank supported the institution on hard wares and soft wares . However, it was not enough for the operation. Besides, the institution lacked of personnel who were knowledgeable and skillful in information technology.
3. Develop a guideline for the application of information technology in order to develop the institution. This focused on the following 3 issues : 1)adequate, appropriate , and effective softwares ; 2)modern softwares which could be responsive to the operation of all levels ; and 3)continual development of poteritial of personnel.
