On Tuesday, August 29, 2566 (local time), the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, welcomed the executives of Maejo University to discuss and collaborate on promoting and supporting agricultural training. This meeting took place in the State Government House of Imo State, Nigeria.
During the visit, Professor Weerapon Thongma, the President of Maejo University, and his team had the honor of being invited by the government of Imo State to explore areas of collaboration in agriculture, environmental conservation, industry, and investments between the two countries.
Day 2:
On Wednesday, August 30, 2566 (local time), at the Imo State Government House, representatives from Maejo University and high-level officials of Imo State had discussions about collaboration in education, research, agriculture, and animal husbandry.
They also met with His Excellency Prof. Placid Chike Njoku, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, and members of the Imo State House of Assembly, focusing on agricultural production (cassava, rubber plantations, and animal husbandry), research, and educational program exchanges.
During this visit, Maejo University presented the King of Imo State and the Traditional Rulers Council of Imo State.
Day 3:
On August 31, 2566 (local time), discussions continued with the Deputy Governor of Imo State and the State Executive Council as they visited community waste management issues, toured a cassava processing factory, and visited the Digital Learning Center of Imo State.
Additionally, academic collaboration discussions took place with the executives of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo.
