9 May 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University accompanied with the executives of the University, Faculties, Schools, College, Offices, and Science Park participated in the international seminar and innovation competition at Vanung University, Taiwan (R.O.C) under the topic, “International Seminar and Innovation Competition of Technology and Innovation for High Value Creation on Agricultural Products under New Southbound Policy Collaboration”. The competition was divided into three categories consisting of Non-Food, Food, and Technology, aiming to support professors, students, and researchers to showcase their research products and to standardize such products in the international level. There were a total of 31 research projects that entered the competition while only 15 most outstanding projects were selected to be awarded. The winners included 8 projects from Thailand, 2 from Taiwan (R.O.C), 2 from India, 1 from Barbados, 1 from USA, and 1 from Norway.
On this opportunity, the delegation from Maejo University listened to the lectures from keynotes speakers including Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University; Associate Professor Dr. Rameshprabu Ramaraj, Assistant to the Dean, School of Renewable Energy, Maejo University; Professor Dr. Shiang-Tai Liu, Director of Teaching and Learning Development Center, Vanung University; Dr. Tina Chiang, Manager of Toucheng Leisure Farm; and Assistant Professor Dr. Chieh Chih Hou, Ming Chuang University.
