Executives of Maejo University attended an international academic conference and signed an MOU to establish a network of educational institutions in India.

On March 20-21, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, along with Associate Professor Dr. Rameshprabu Ramaraj from the College of Renewable Energy and Assistant Professor Dr. Yuwalee Anpaprom from the Faculty of Science, participated in the opening ceremony of the international academic conference Frontiers in Advances and Research for Multidisciplinary Engineering, Management, Environmental and Related Sciences (FARMERS-2025) at Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Republic of India.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma was honored as a keynote speaker, delivering a special lecture on "Agriculture Higher Education for Sustainable Agriculture Transformation Towards Net-Zero Future: Maejo University, Chiang Mai, Thailand."

Following this, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place between Maejo University, Thailand, and Chaudhary Charan Singh University & Maa Shakumbhari University, India. The agreement aims to promote student and researcher exchange, academic activities, and international research collaboration. This includes short-term training programs, joint on-site/online academic programs, and the establishment of an international academic network to enhance global engagement.
