The Faculty of Engineering and Agro-Industry at Maejo University, representing Thailand, co-hosted the 11th Annual Regional Convention 2025 (ARC 2025) in collaboration with the Malaysian Society of Agricultural and Food Engineers (MSAE). The event, held from February 23-27, 2025, at Maejo University, Chiang Mai, was themed "Intelligent Agriculture and Novelty in the Agro-Food Industry for Wellness."
Assistant Professor Dr. Kanjana Nakprasom, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Agro-Industry, stated:
"ARC is a rotating event co-hosted by MSAE and various universities across Southeast Asia. This year, Maejo University had the honor of being the first Thai university to host the event. The convention attracted over 300 participants from 12 universities across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand."
Key highlights of ARC 2025 included:
Interactive Poster Presentation Competition: 62 projects submitted
MyCobot Challenge: 38 teams competing
ARC Maze Race: 24 teams participating
Apart from agricultural and food engineering students, students from food science and technology, postharvest technology, and rubber and polymer technology also took part. The event helped students enhance teamwork, presentation, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for global academic competitions and equipping them with 21st-century skills for international careers.
