Maejo University Executives Meet with MHESI Permanent Secretary and NIA Director to Drive University Transformation with the Intelligent Well-being Agriculture (IWA) Strategy

On January 30, 2025, a delegation from Maejo University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kriangsak Sringernyuang, Vice President, and Assoc. Prof. Jakkrapong Pimphimon, Vice President, along with their team, met with Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI).

The discussions, held at MHESI headquarters in Bangkok, focused on:
- Maejo University’s role as the host for the 2026 Thailand University Games.
- The university transformation initiative (Reinventing Program) to enhance academic excellence and innovation.
Additionally, the delegation visited the National Innovation Agency (NIA) to meet with Dr. Krichphaka Boonfueng, NIA Director, and Dr. Surarot Supajaturat, Deputy Director.

The meeting at NIA headquarters in Bangkok explored collaborative efforts to develop the Maejo Agricultural and Food Innovation District, aligning with the university’s Intelligent Well-being Agriculture (IWA) strategy, which serves as a flagship initiative for advancing smart agriculture and sustainable well-being.
