On December 13, 2024, Dr. Chokanan Wanitlertthanasarn, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design at Maejo University, received the "Building for All People" award from the Foundation for Universal Design, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and other partners. The award was presented during the "Thailand Friendly Design Expo 2024: The 8th Universal Design, Health Innovation, and Tourism for All Expo" at the BITEC Exhibition Center in Bangna, Bangkok.

The Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design building was designed to be inclusive, providing easier access to classrooms and government services for the elderly, vulnerable groups, and all individuals, ensuring convenience and accessibility for everyone.
