On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Maejo University, represented by Associate Professor Dr. Kriangsak Sri-ngernyuang, Vice President, along with university executives, faculty, and students from the Resource Management and Development Program of the Faculty of Agricultural Production, warmly welcomed His Serene Highness Wachares Vivatlavongse. He delivered a special lecture on the topic “The Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and Globalization” to students and the general public at the Khao Hom Mali Room, Chalerm Phra Kiat Somdet Phra Thepratana Ratchasuda Building, Maejo University.

On this occasion, His Serene Highness Wachares participated in a tree-planting activity, planting Inthanin and Ruang Phueng trees in front of the Chalerm Phra Kiat Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Building. He also toured the laboratories at the Institute of Quality Assurance and Product Standards, guided by Assistant Professor Dr. Tawan Chatsungnoen, Director of the Institute. Additionally, he visited the Commercial Smart Aquaculture Building, hosted by Associate Professor Second Lieutenant Dr. Jongkol Promya, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Jomsuda Duangwongsa, Deputy Dean for Student Development and Special Affairs, and Prasert Prasongphon, Fisheries Scientist. Lastly, His Serene Highness toured the Thai Agricultural Culture Museum, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Prapakorn Tharachai, Acting Vice President, along with staff from the Office of Arts and Cultural Promotion.
