This study aims to examine the sustainability disclosure and bond issuance of companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and to test the relationship between sustainability disclosure and sustainability bond issuance. The data for this study were collected from 209 listed companies on the SET during the period of 2021–2023, resulting in a total sample of 346 observations. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses.
The findings show that most listed companies that issued bonds were rated at the Moderate Investment Grade, accounting for 56.9 percent of all bond-issuing firms. The average sustainability bond issuance was 2.75 percent of their total bond issuance. Hypothesis testing revealed that ESG disclosure has a significant relationship with sustainability bond issuance. Specifically, environmental disclosure (E) is positively associated with sustainability bond issuance at a statistical significance level of 0.01, with a beta coefficient (b) of .183.
