Maejo University Partners with Shantou University to Revise Thai Language Curriculum for Foreigners (THCN) and Build an International Network

Thursday, May 15, 2025 — Assistant Professor Dr. Chanaporn Khanthabut, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Maejo University, along with Mr. Suwan Lianghirunthawon, Chair of the Thai Language for Foreigners Program, and other program faculty members, traveled to participate in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for academic cooperation. This agreement is part of a project to build a collaborative network and develop instructors in preparation for revising the Thai Language Curriculum for Foreigners (THCN) with the Department of Thai Language, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Shantou University, People’s Republic of China. Professor Yang Qingjie, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Shantou University, along with other administrators, welcomed the delegation and signed the agreement at Shantou University, China.

On this occasion, executives from both institutions held meetings to discuss and exchange views on curriculum management, academic cooperation, student interests, and learning needs. This preparation aims to improve the Thai Language Curriculum for Foreigners, benefiting Maejo University’s students and staff through future activities within the international network.
