On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, presided over the opening ceremony of International Student’s Day 2025. Associate Professor Dr. Rapeephun Dangtungee, Dean of the International College, delivered the report. The event was attended by international students of Maejo University from eight countries at the Phae Phueng Building, Maejo University.
Currently, Maejo University has more than 230 international students from China, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, Bhutan, India, Japan, and Taiwan. Maejo University has therefore become a center of learning, friendship, and understanding, opening doors to collaboration and shared cultural growth.
This year’s International Student’s Day 2025 allowed Maejo’s international students to participate in joint activities, exchange knowledge in academics, languages, and diverse traditions and cultures, as well as get to know one another and learn how to live together on campus. In addition, they received important advice on legal matters and university regulations, with faculty members and staff providing guidance and support. This helps international students feel warm, confident, and well cared for as they pursue their studies until graduation.
