On April 9, 2025, the Office of Research and Academic Services in Agriculture at Maejo University welcomed representatives from the Secretariat of the Senate for a meeting to discuss preparations for a collaborative project on academic and research data integration. The delegation was welcomed by the university's executives and staff, with Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, presenting an overview of the university’s research and academic services. Assistant Professor Dr. Natthaphon Laorodphan, Director of the Office of Research, also participated in the discussions. The meeting took place at the University Council Meeting Room, 5th Floor, University Office Building, Maejo University.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Center of Excellence in Agricultural Innovation for Entrepreneurial Graduates, where Associate Professor Dr. Duangporn Amornlertpisarn served as the presenter. They also visited the Center for Research and Development in Natural Agriculture, where Professor Dr. Anut Tanchotanchai, Director of the center, shared knowledge and gave a special lecture on “Vermiculture for Organic Waste Management” and “Organic Cannabis Cultivation for Medical Use.”
The delegation observed demonstrations on vermiculture for organic waste disposal, organic fertilizer production under IFOAM standards, and organic cannabis cultivation for medical purposes at the Natural Agriculture Research and Development Center, Maejo University.
