On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, presided over the opening of the 6th International Conference on Renewable Energy, Sustainable Environmental and Agricultural, and Artificial Intelligence Technologies (i-RESEAT 2024). He also gave a special lecture on the topic “Paving the Way to a Net-Zero Future: Green University and Environment in Agriculture Higher Education” at the School of Renewable Energy, Maejo University, Chiang Mai.

The i-RESEAT 2024 international conference, hosted by the School of Renewable Energy at Maejo University, took place from September 26-27, 2024, with co-hosts from various universities, including Thammasat University (Thailand), Kaohsiung Medical University (Taiwan), University of Stavanger (Norway), Vellore Institute of Technology (India), and other partner universities and institutions.

This conference is an international platform for presenting innovations and research in energy, environment, food and agricultural innovation, and artificial intelligence technology. It aims to foster networks, knowledge exchange, and strengthen international academic collaboration among researchers, academics, students, and interested individuals.

The conference focuses on driving initiatives under “Go-Green, Go-Eco, Go-Smart Agri-Tech, and Go-BCG,” with over 70 academic papers submitted for presentation. Selected papers presented at the conference will be published in high-level international journals or included in the conference proceedings.
