The main aims of this study were to study behavior and satisfaction of tourists and to propose
guidelines for enhancing satisfaction of tourists visiting community- based tourism destinations in Pathio
district, Chumphon province. A self-administered survey was used to collect data from 250 tourists and the
data were analyzed using descriptive statistics: frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation (S.D.).
The results showed that most of the tourists were female ( 54. 00%) and aged between 19 to 30
years (36.80%). The overall level of satisfaction was at the highest level, with the mean score of 4.71. The
majority of tourists were most satisfied with interested and diversified activities (???= 4.98), friendly services (??? = 4.82) and prompt services (???= 4.80). However, the tourists were unsatisfied with the large amount of insects in the area (51.0%) and restroom quality (21.70%). 85.60% of the tourists indicated their intention to revisit in the future. Therefore, the key guidelines for improving satisfaction of tourists include maintaining service standards, providing logical service processes and keeping the area tight and clean regularly.
